In continued pursuit of Mbiokporo 11 development initiatives, is the birth of “Bridge the Gap Integrated Academy” program with a focus on destitute children from extreme low socioeconomic families with no hope of access to formal early learning.
Within a structured, nurturing environment for Pre-K and Kindergarten- aged children, this program aims at bridging the gap between poverty and functional literacy through academic readiness, skills development, and character training. Together, we strive to empower future generations, build a connected and impactful diaspora, and meaningfully, to the growth and prosperity of our homeland.
The children participating in the “Bridge the Gap” program receive following:
1) Orientation to program along with free meals
2) Program uniforms
3) Introduction to technology through the “Talking book”
Student placement will be based on maturity level for appropriate age-based interactions using the “Talking -Book”, at the entry level of this program, while being mentored and coached continuously by trained teachers based on individual student needs, interests, maturity level, and potentials.
Based on the children’s background, the program also aims at providing the children with at least one meal a day while on site.
